Benson Russell

Benson Russell is a twenty-year veteran game designer.  Originally getting involved with games by working at NEC for the TurboGrafx 16 helpline in the 90s, who then went on to help co-founded his first development studio in 1998.

His original claim to fame was as the designer of the D-Day level in Medal of Honor: Allied Assault for PC, which helped define the "wow moment" factor in gaming. Benson designed for the Star Trek license, the Medal of Honor franchise, and spent several years at the Electronic Arts Los Angeles studio on both game design and central technology teams.

In 2007, Benson became a senior game designer at SCEA's Naughty Dog Studios in Santa Monica, CA and designed for their hit titles Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, The Last Of Us, The Last Of Us: Left Behind, The Last Of Us: Remastered, and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.  Currently he’s at InfinityWard finishing up this year’s Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
