About LACEplay - This is the festive and playful core of the otherwise serious work of liberation movements. This typically includes a series of techniques involving embodied game-play, spontaneous creation of images, and interactive real-time strategizing for structural political and social change. The work is designed to weave together disparate artistic platforms including digital and social media, serious gaming, and viral video posting, but mostly LACEplay is a community-based creative and fun process rooted in the live, auratic (theatre, dance, spoken word) and visual (public art, sculpture, graphic arts, etc.) arts.
