One of the most important elements to great game design is the ability to deeply analyze and reflect upon gameplay (both others and our own).  As humans, our emotions drive a lot of our decision making process subconsciously.  Without understanding how our emotions make us behave, we're shortchanging our ability to analyze and create great games, as well as the ability to create a strong emotional connection with the player.

Using my own journey to draw examples from, my goal is to talk about not just the negative impacts this can have to both workflow and interpersonal interactions, but also how it can strengthen one’s design skills.
